Matthew 28:18-20 (NASB)
"And Jesus came up and spoke to them saying, 'All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' If your church is interested in planting a church in Northern Tamaulipas, Mexico we want to provide you with the information, contacts and resources you need to get started. We will actively support you in the planning and implementation of the project. We have sites in several cities as far south as Cd. Victoria as well as many rural areas. On the border we have potential sites in Reynosa, Matamoros and Rio Bravo.

bullet OUR CONTACTS bullet OUR CHURCH PLANT MODEL

FBC Brownsville has established contacts with a number of Mexican Baptist pastors who are interested in the expansion of God's kingdom to areas where the Gospel is not readily available. We will match a Mexican congregation with your church to be your partner in taking the Gospel to areas where there are no Christian churches at present.

We follow the International Mission Board's model, which is based on prayer as the foundation. The three columns of Gospel saturation, evangelism and training, which support the church planting, are laid on this foundation. The Great Commission commands us to make disciples and not only converts, making this church planting focus more important.

bullet WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW bullet FOR YOUR FOLLOW UP

You can plan to have a vision trip to our area where we can discuss the strategy and match your volunteers with an appropriate location. The primary cost for this project would be the lodging and meals for your group and the cost of the Gospel books and tracts that will be distributed in the target area during the gospel saturation phase. Your Mexican church partner helps greatly to get the mission church body established after the initial gospel saturation.

The mission would benefit by subsequent mission trips to assist in the follow-up. Evangelism, leadership training, sports camps, medical teams and construction groups are helpful follow-up support for the new mission church. The church building may or may not come in the future depending on the need and resources available. When you are done you will leave behind a structure that will provide discipleship, growth and indigenous reproduction capabilities.
